The Minister of State, Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, Government Spokesperson, Colonel Abdoulaye MAÏGA proceeded, yesterday Monday, May 13, 2024, to the official launch of the General Agricultural Census (RGA) operation. at the Samanko Agricultural Center, in the rural commune of Mandé. This RGA operation began on April 1 and will continue until July 31, 2024 and covers the entire extent of the National territory.
The General Agricultural Census aims to provide the Government and stakeholders in the rural sector with reliable and relevant data. It targets agricultural businesses, operators in the field of livestock farming and fishing.
Given the importance of this operation, the Minister of State, by carrying out the official launch and handing over of the tablets, urged the actors and field agents to demonstrate professionalism and seriousness in the conduct of the said operation. As a reminder, Mali is committed, through the highest authorities of the Republic, to carrying out a General Agricultural Census with a view to better development planning.
